Abstract
The demonstrate On Farm Trail was conducted through Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Lahar, during kharif season of 2016 and 2017 were conducted on 4.0 ha at 10 farmer’s field in , Block – Lahar, Distt – Bhind(M.P.) in sandy loam soils having pH 7.5, electrical conductivity 2.80 dSm/cc, organic carbon 0.66 %, available N 130-140 kg ha-1, available P2O5 16-20 kg ha-1and available K2O 210-220 kg ha-1. The rainfall received during cropping season (June to October) was 780 mm distributed in 150 days. The treatment comprised of three black gram varieties [farmer practices (local variety), Pant U. – 19 and J.U.-2] and four weed control measures [farmer practices (weedy check),weed free, application of Alachlore 10%G@20 kg ha-1 as pre-emergence and application of Pendimethalin 10% G @ 20kg ha-1 as pre-emergence).From the result of On farm trail. Performance of black gram under different varieties, Pant U. – 19 gave maximum yield of (7.15 and 7.20 q.ha-1 ) followed by variety J.U.-2 (7.04 and 7.10 q.ha-1 ) during both year respectively. Application Alachlore 10%G@20 kg ha-1 as pre-emergence at par with weed free and produced higher grain yield of (10.70 and 10.72 q.ha-1 ), then other weed control treatments in both year respectively.
