Abstract

In this research article an effort has been made to study the impact of loan in term of promotion of technology pertaining to wheat crop adopted by the different size of farmer. The study was primarily conducted in the part segment of western U.P. Two districts namely Agra and Mathura were selected randomly in Agra region. In all four blocks (two blocks under each district) and twenty village (five village under each block) and three hundred borrowers (fifteen respondent’s borrowers under each village) were selected. The Primary data was collected with the help of well structured interview schedule. The collected data were compiled, coded, classified, tabulated and analyzed with the help of manual and mechanical method of analysis. The percentage, average, ratio, rank order and some suitable statistical tests were also put forth. The outcomes of the study clearly highlight that overall increase in terms of adoption of HYV after availing the loan was to the extent of 77%. In Case of fertilizer, the percentage of farmer was to the extent of 60.43% who adopted the recommended dose of chemicals fertilizer. The similar trends also noticed in case of plant protection chemicals and irrigation in which 104.72% and 50.00% increase was noticed respectively. Statistically all the four components were found significant.
