Abstract
An experiment was conducted at Chitrakoot in session 2013-14 and 2014-2015 to find out the application of sulphur effect on Morphological and protein content of Chickpea varieties, viz- JG- 315, PUSA1103, DCP92-3, JG-11 and KGD1168 grown under rainfed condition. It was found that the application of sulphur with application of 30 kg S ha-1 significantly increased days to 50% flowering, number of primary branches plant-1, plant height (cm), number of pods-1, number of seeds pod-1, seed yield (kg ha-1), crude protein (%) and soluble protein (%). The control 30 kg S ha- 1 had the better performance in respect of morphological as well as protein content of Chickpea varieties grown under rainfed condition.
