A Study on assessment of Association between Emotional Maturity and Marital Adjustment of Dual Earner Couples

Abstract

The present study was an attempt to assess association of emotional maturity and marital adjustment of dual earner couples. Purposively 60 employed respondents (30 couples) residing within the municipal limits of Lucknow city were randomly selected for the study. This study was delimited to the dual earner couples in beginning stage of family life cycle (30-40 years), working for 6-8 hours (minimum) with income 50, 000 Rs/ month. To accomplish a self constructed Emotional Maturity Scale and Marital Adjustment inventory was constructed and validated. The data was analyzed in terms of frequency and percentage and chi square.
