Studies on the Management of Stem Canker Disease of Tomato Through Fungicidal Sprays Under Green House Conditions

Abstract
Seed treatment with Thiram (0.2%) followed by a foliar spray of Carbendazim 0.2%, Captan (0.2%) followed by a foliar spray of Mancozeb 0.3%, Carbendazim (0.2%) followed by a foliar spray of 0.2% Carbendazim and Mancozeb (0.3%) followed by foliar spray of 0.3% Mancozeb were tried for the management of stem canker disease of tomato under green house conditions and compared with untreated control. Seed treatment with 0.2% Carbendazim followed by one spray of 0.2% Carbendazim at expression of disease symptoms was found most effective followed by seed treatment with Mancozeb (0.3%) followed by one spray of 0.3% Mancozeb at expression of disease symptoms. Seed treatment with Thiram (0.2%) followed by one foliar spray of 0.2% Carbendazim and seed treatment with 0.2% Captan followed by one foliar spray 0.3% Mancozeb.
